Will SpecialChabbis cross the benchmark of 100 crores on Home Box Office? It is a “Yakshay Prashan”
and everybody wants to say nothing on this topic and just want to wait and watch
what happens next. This is easiest way to keep oneself away but the situation is
giving indication; So I cannot stop myself to say something.
I dare to
compare this film with Akshay last second film “Oh My God” which had started
slowly and earned 16.50 crores on weekend. The film got positive public
response and grew on weekday and collected more than 81 crores whenever film
experts had predicted lifetime collection around 50 crores.
OMG did fantastic business because people liked content and
act of Akshay and other actors. The specialty of this film was clear cut
message. In short, people like that film which have good contents and if it has
a big star, fun gets double. Now, come to the point, “Special Chabbish” also
started with less than expectation (7 crores)
but grew further with word of mouth. People
liked content and work of Aksahy Kumar, Anupam Kher and Manoj Bajpai.
The film has
collected 26.50 crores on weekend 10 crores more than OMG. Second OMG was
released over only 1200 screens whenever SC is released over 1750 screens. There
is difference of 500 screens. Third, there is no big film release before beginning
of April so film won’t lose more screens and there is fair chance to cross the bench
mark of 100 crores. So if we consider on these aspects 100 crores looks
possible. It is a possibility, let see what happens actually.
